Safe Neighborhood Watch
Little 5-year-old Samantha Runnion was playing in her front yard when she was snatched and carried away by a repeated sex offender predator, kicking and screaming for her life. Her mother broke everyone's heart when later in court she confronted the man who took her daughter and told of the pain and recounted the horror that little Samantha went through in the last moments of her precious life.
The man who took little Jessica Lunsford lived just right across the street and was a repeated convicted sex offender with 19 prior accounts against him. These tragedies could easily have been prevented if the neighborhoods in which these victims lived were a Kids Safety Smart Safe Neighborhood.
We have the technology to protect our neighborhoods yet the majority of our communities are still unprotected. Most times the wheels of improvement turn slow, however, when it comes to the lives of our children to keep them safe from predators we need to speed up our efforts to make sure our neighborhoods are safe and protected.
In California a man sat in his car in front of a little girls house he had previously stalked, waiting for her to come home from school. Knowing the mother worked and the little girl would be left home alone, he planned to kidnap the little girl in order to molest her and then later dispose of her body. Around 4 or 5 o'clock, the little girl was dropped off by a friend who gave her a ride home from school every day and being just normal routine neither the little girl nor her ride home gave any thought to a car that was parked just in front of the little girls house. The little girl jumped out of the car, said goodbye, walked in the house and her ride pulled away. As the car turned the corner a man got out of his car walked up to the house and went in. A few minutes later he came out of the house carrying the little girl, put her in his car and drove away. When the mother came home that evening and her daughter was nowhere to be found she became concerned immediately and begin to look for her daughter. Hours went by and the little girl still had not been found. Fortunately, a neighbor up the street who was having trouble in the neighborhood had placed a camera in the front window of the house looking down the street, which caught the whole kidnapping incident on video. Of course the police and the media immediately hit the airways with the video of the kidnapping and within hours the police had a suspect.
Seeing his picture on TV, the suspect immediately began to get worried about what he had done and also that the police now knew who he was. Because of his fear of being hunted down and captured, he took the little girl and dropped her off at a drug store where the little girl was able to get help and contact her mother and the police. A few hours later the police picked up the suspect at a friend’s house where he had been hiding out and he was immediately taken into custody. A simple camera taking pictures every 3 seconds saved that little girl's life. Since the incident crime has gone down in the little community and everyone is happy to live where they feel safe and protected.
In another neighborhood where neighbors were having trouble with a house on the corner selling drugs, the traffic in the neighborhood was every night and all day of drug addicts and gangs coming through, hanging out and having parties. So the neighbors got together and put a sign up at the end of the street that said, "This Neighborhood Is Protected By Video Surveillance". The drug addicts and the gangs soon left to never come back and the person living in the house moved out. It seems no one wants to have their picture taken when they're breaking the law.

GET INVOLVED
Those who join the Safe Neighborhood program will become a part of a growing national network of people who are committed to keeping an eye on our neighborhoods with video surveillance in order to keep our communities safe. We’ll show you how to install a time-delayed camera that monitors your entire neighborhood and Kids Safety Smart will even furnish your neighborhood with a sign that says, "This Neighborhood Is Safe With Video Surveillance".
You can monitor the camera yourself for trouble spots in your neighborhood or just in case the police needs important information you might capture on your camera during the process of a crime. You can also join us and be a part of a crime stoppers network that is set up to help the police track the movements of criminals throughout the streets and your neighborhood. It is a total confidentiality program; no one knows who you are or where your camera is logistically placed on your property in order to make the program effective. Only you and the police have access to your information unless of course you join our network and included us in your circle of confidence. Only staff members at Kids Safety Smart have access to our network board and we have a very loyal dedicated staff working hard for the cause to keep our kids safe.
Just for the sake of argument let’s say there is a robbery or a kidnapping in your area and the person who committed the crime happens to drive by your home or place of business where a camera is watching the street. The information you capture on your camera can help the police know who the person is by reading the license plate number and also by tracking the suspects movements knowing which way they went when they left the crime scene. The information you provide with others who also are monitoring the streets can even allow the police to follow the suspect straight to their door where they may be hiding. By being a part of a network of people who just like you have a time-delayed camera watching the streets being monitored by Kids Safety Smart, criminals will have a much harder time committing crimes without being seen or caught.
By process of elimination the police can track down the person who committed the crime by watching the network cameras from the place where the crime was committed to the place where the suspect drove to hide out. Giving the police opportunity to track down and catch the criminal before another crime can be committed, especially if it’s a kidnapping situation where a child’s life is at stake and time is of the essence. We want to help you to keep your neighborhood safe. Lets join together as a team and help one another to get the job done. The reward is a safe neighborhood for our children to be able to go outside and play without fear of being harmed or taken. When it becomes apparent to those who would commit a crime that someone is always watching and knows who they are, maybe they'll STOP and think twice before they commit a crime.

Do You Suspect Drug Dealers Of Operating In Your Neighborhood?
Here's away to have a little fun and at the same time get rid of the drug dealers in your neighborhood. The best part is it works every time.
The first step is to make as many copies as you will need of the flyer below "Residence Notice".
Step two is to either hire someone so that you remain anonymous or you can get a relative to help you out but have the person who you trust to put the flyer "Residence Notice" on every door in your neighborhood.
Note:  Do not put the flyer in the mailboxes because it is against the law unless the flyer has a postage stamp somewhere on the flyer. It's completely free if you just get someone to put a flyer on each door but if you would rather mail the flyers anonymously to your neighbors especially the neighbors you suspect of drug dealing, go for it if you've got the money. No matter how much the postage comes to if you get rid of the drug dealers or bad elements in your neighborhood, it's worth it. With postage at .42 cents per letter these days and if you have a 100 neighbors to mail out to because you don't want to exclude anyone, you'll pay $42 on postage. However, if you get someone to put the flyer on every door even if you have to pay that person say maybe $20 for about an hours time, that's not to bad for getting rid of a neighborhood drug dealer. Maybe you can get a relative who hardly ever comes to visit that often who wouldn't be recognized in the neighborhood in order that you can remain anonymous, to do it for you for free. Make a deal with a relative that you'll come over to his or her neighborhood and help them get rid of some undesirables the same way and pass out the same flyer in their neighborhood so they too can remain anonymous. Step three is very simple. After your neighbors get the flyer "Residence Notice", the ones who are selling drugs or participating in illegal activity will soon be moving out. YOU CAN COUNT ON IT - GUARANTEED.
Think about it? If you were a drug dealer and you got a flyer posted on your door or in the mail such as the one we have here "Residence Notice", would you continue to live in that neighborhood knowing that your neighbors know you are doing something illegal and are cooperating with the police to get you busted along with those who frequently visit your house other wise known as drug traffic. Besides, when the word gets out that their drug dealer is being watched, the traffic will disappear. The fun part is watching all the drug dealers move out. Hey, you may even target one or two you didn’t know about but I guarantee you the ones in your neighborhood that move out shortly after getting your flyer, you can believe they were up to no good thing. You may even want to report it to the police as suspicious activity so that the police can track them to their next location. With this flyer you can find out real quick who the drug dealers are in your neighborhood and if you do take it just a step further to track them to the next location, do not do it yourself but do get the police involved and let them know what is happening and why you suspect the person of moving out so fast of being a drug dealer. It is then up to the police to decide if the complaint warrants further investigation. Step five is a preventive measure and very effective to keep other drug dealers from moving back into your neighborhood. Put a sign at entrance points of you neighborhood and in places where people can see that your neighborhood is being protected by hidden video surveillance and you'll see your neighborhood return to the peaceful community that you want to live in. If you do decide to participate in one of our safe neighborhood watch programs with video surveillance, our programs are set up to be a citizen watch in cooperation with the police. It is not big brother watching and our videos are only used in the event of a crime to track down the person responsible to help the police in any way we can to stop crimes from happening to begin with as a deterrent. By being a citizen group who is in charge of the video surveillance of our own neighborhoods and not the police or the government, we the people are in charge of our own security without the stereotype fear of big brother interference or watching over us except when the police are called. Our video surveillance cameras are not to catch traffic violators unless a more serious crime has been committed. Our cameras are not intended to catch speeders accept drug dealers and violent crimes. If a speeder is persistent in a neighborhood to cause a frequent disturbance then our cameras can be used to stop a habitual offender. Keep your neighborhood safe, take charge of your own life and join us to keep our communities safe for our kids.
